About Lila
I have 4 years of experience in history tutoring, and many more years of experience in teaching/tutoring. I help students with understanding coursework and writing essays and papers by making the material accessible and exciting, and helping develop skills in analytical research and writing. Hi! My name is Lila, and I am a history tutor with years of tutoring/teaching experience and look forward to working with you. I received my bachelor's degree from Occidental College where I double majored in History and International Relations, and minored in Asian Studies. I received Departmental Honors and Distinction in both of my majors for my coursework and extensive research projects. Throughout college, I served as the History Department tutor, advising students on coursework, lessons, and writing history papers for introductory, intermediate, and advanced college history courses. I have presented my historical research at several conferences, and have received various awards for this work. In high school I received my IB diploma and wrote my extended essay in history (receiving an A), and completed the IB History of the Americas SL course and received an A on this IA. Currently, I work primarily in the legal field and actively apply many of the skills I learned throughout my experiences studying history. I would love to assist you in any and all history coursework!
