About Katie
I have been teaching high school mathematics in the state of Florida for 30+ years, including 8 years of private tutoring in my home. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics Education from the University of South Florida. I have recently retired and am looking forward to returning to tutoring at the high school level.

My teaching approach is to encourage and coach the student toward a deeper understanding of the concept, rather than showing them a step by step process. The student has a much better retention of the concept if the student does the work with the teacher’s encouragement.
