About Iain and Esther
Hi everyone! I’ve been teaching English for over 24 years and have been lucky enough to work in amazing places like Botswana, Dubai, and Malaysia. I absolutely love teaching, and I’m passionate about helping students grow in confidence, think independently, and enjoy learning.
Outside the classroom, I’m a big fan of football, going to the gym, and gaming on the PlayStation. Therefore, don’t be surprised if these interests sometimes make their way into our lessons! I also enjoy getting to know what you are interested in and using that to make lessons more fun, relevant, and engaging.
I have two young children, Denzel (4) and Reia (7), who keep me busy and inspired, and my wife is also a teacher. She teaches Mandarin here in Dubai. Teaching is a big part of our family life, and I bring that same energy and enthusiasm into every lesson I teach.

I am an experienced English and Literature teacher with a strong background in IB, American High School, and the British curriculum. I specialize in helping students build confidence, improve their academic writing, and achieve top grades through clear guidance and structured support.
