About Charlie
I am a passionate and versatile guitarist with seven years of playing experience across classical, acoustic, electric, and rock styles. My guitar journey has taken me through school rock and jazz bands, and I have performed occasionally with the UQ Big Band — giving me a well-rounded foundation across both structured ensemble playing and more improvisational, genre-driven performance.
I am currently completing a double degree in Music and Secondary Education at the University of Queensland, which means I don't just play well — I'm trained to teach. I understand how to break down technique into clear, manageable steps, adapt to different learning styles and ages, and keep students motivated and enjoying the process. I hold a current Blue Card (Paid) and First Aid certification, so parents can feel confident their child is in safe, professional hands.

Lessons cover all the fundamentals — posture, hand position, chord shapes, tablature reading, music reading, and rhythm — before building toward the style and repertoire that excites you most. For students interested in graded pathways, lessons can be aligned to AMEB standards and exam preparation.

Travel Fees:
I am based in Shailer Park and am happy to travel to students for in-home lessons. A small travel fee applies depending on distance:
• 0–5 km: $5
• 5–15 km: $7 per lesson
• 15–25 km: $10 per lesson
