About Reece
Hi! I'm a guitarist from the UK and I've been playing guitar for over 20 years.
My main love is acoustic guitar, particularly fingerstyle, with a strong passion for jazz, soul and flamenco. I love exploring everything the guitar can do — from beautiful fingerpicked arrangements and rich jazz chords to soulful rhythm playing and improvisation.
I perform professionally across a number of different projects, from a highly successful funk, soul and disco band to jazz duos and trios, regularly performing at high-end weddings, corporate events and private events.
My approach to teaching is relaxed, practical and tailored to you. Whether you're picking up a guitar for the first time, have been playing for a few years and feel stuck, or want to take your playing to the next level, I'll build lessons around the music you actually enjoy.
I can help you with things like fingerstyle technique, chord shapes and voicings, rhythm, improvisation, jazz harmony, playing by ear, arranging songs and developing your own musical style.
Most importantly, I want you to enjoy playing. Rather than simply giving you exercises to practise, I'll help you understand what you're doing and apply it to real music, so that you can start sounding like the guitarist you want to become.

I've been teaching guitar for around five years, working with students of different ages and abilities, from complete beginners to more experienced players looking to take their playing further.
Over that time, I've learnt that the most effective lessons are the ones that are tailored to the individual. Everyone learns differently, so I take the time to understand what you want to achieve and build lessons around your goals, interests and musical taste.
I particularly enjoy helping students understand the "why" behind what they're playing. Rather than simply showing you where to put your fingers, I'll help you understand the musical ideas behind chords, techniques and songs, so you can eventually apply them yourself.
My teaching covers fingerstyle technique, acoustic guitar, rhythm, chord shapes and voicings, jazz harmony, improvisation, playing by ear, arranging songs and developing your own musical style. I'm also very happy to work with students who simply want to learn their favourite songs and become more confident on the guitar.
My five years of teaching, combined with over 20 years of playing and performing professionally, means I can bring both a strong technical foundation and real-world musical experience to lessons.
Above all, I want lessons to be enjoyable and motivating. My goal is for you to finish each lesson feeling like you've genuinely learnt something and are excited to pick up the guitar and play.
