About David
Bringing 8 years of teaching and performing experience, this guitar tutor specializes in working with students from school to college level. With a student-focused approach, lessons are designed to be engaging, easy to understand, and progress-driven. Real music is the foundation of every session. Instead of memorizing abstract theory, students explore chords, rhythm, and techniques through the songs they love. Whether the goal is to master fingerpicking, improve strumming, or perform live, lessons are built around individual passions and goals. Over the 8 years, many students have grown from hesitant beginners to confident musicians. One notable highlight includes guiding a student to perform solo at a college event—a proud moment that reflects both dedication and method. The teaching approach is based on clear communication, flexibility, and encouragement. Challenges are broken down into simple steps, and students are motivated through real-life examples, relatable goals, and consistent progress. Each student is seen not just as a learner, but as a growing artist, capable of creating music that inspires and connects."

My teaching method takes you from your first strum to your first performance. We focus on building strong basics and applying them to real music. You won’t just learn how to play a G chord—you’ll use it to play actual songs, improvise, and create your own progressions.
The key to this method is clear communication. Every lesson is tailored to your pace, and I explain each new concept in simple terms. I also ask you for feedback during and after each session, so I can adjust to how you learn best.
Whether you're a visual, auditory, or hands-on learner, I’ll adapt the tools we use—like diagrams, backing tracks, videos, or games. Learning should feel exciting, not frustrating.
We study real-life examples from both pros and everyday guitarists. I share case studies of how famous musicians built their skill sets—and how regular players improved over time with simple changes in practice or posture.
Alongside guitar, I also teach performance prep, practice strategy, music reading, tempo control, and creative improvisation, so you don’t just know what to play—you know how and why it works on stage and in the studio.
