About Vera
I’m a senior merchandising professional with two decades of experience working in the fashion retail industry, where Excel is a fundamental part of day-to-day work.
I’ve built my career around working with numbers, data and commercial decision-making, and I use Excel extensively to analyse business performance, identify trends and turn large amounts of information into something clear and actionable. I’ve worked with everything from straightforward spreadsheets to complex reporting and planning tools, so I understand how powerful Excel can be when you know how to use it properly.
I’m also someone who genuinely enjoys Excel! I know that might sound slightly strange, but I particularly enjoy finding a simpler, smarter way of doing something that initially looks complicated.
I’m friendly, patient and down to earth, and I want my lessons to feel relaxed and approachable. There are no silly questions, and you certainly don’t need to be a ‘numbers person’ to become confident with Excel. Whether you’re looking to improve your skills for your career, studies or personal development, I’d love to help you get there.

I offer practical, friendly Excel lessons designed around what you actually need to use Excel for, whether you're a complete beginner, looking to improve your confidence, or wanting to develop more advanced skills for work.
My approach is very hands-on. Rather than simply explaining formulae or giving you exercises to complete, I like to work through real-life examples and problems together, so you understand not just what to do, but why you're doing it.
I can tailor each lesson to your individual goals, whether that's learning the basics, improving your spreadsheets, mastering formulae, building reports, or becoming more efficient and confident in your day-to-day work.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged if required. I can work at your pace and adapt the content depending on your existing knowledge and confidence.
I have extensive professional experience using Excel in senior merchandising and commercial roles within fashion retail, where Excel is an essential part of analysing sales, stock, forecasting, pricing and business performance. I use Excel regularly for complex data analysis, reporting and decision-making, so I can teach you skills that are genuinely relevant to the workplace.
Lessons are suitable for adults and students of all abilities, from complete beginners through to more experienced Excel users who want to develop their skills further. I particularly enjoy helping people who feel that Excel is intimidating or who know the basics but want to become much more confident and efficient.
