About Jen
With over six years of experience teaching both ESL and native English speakers, I offer highly conversational English lessons designed to build real-world fluency and confidence. I hold a Master’s in Secondary Education and another in International Education, and I’ve taught students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, including teens, university students, and working professionals--some of which I continue to teach going on 8+ years! I value my relationships with my students and always strive to meet students where they are.

My Approach:
I focus on conversation as the core of language learning. Lessons are relaxed, engaging, and centered around meaningful dialogue. I integrate grammar and vocabulary naturally into our conversations, so you learn the way people actually speak. My teaching draws on scaffolding, active listening, and gentle correction to help you grow without pressure.
A Typical Lesson:
Each session begins with a brief warm-up chat to ease into English, followed by an extended, topic-based conversation that reflects your interests or goals (e.g., travel, daily life, business, or culture). I provide real-time feedback, introduce useful phrases, and ask questions that stretch your speaking skills. We wrap up with a short review and takeaways you can use outside of class. These are not textbook-heavy lessons—they are immersive, practical, and focused on real communication.
What Sets Me Apart:
I’m a trained educator with international experience and a strong background in second language learning. But beyond credentials, I bring empathy, patience, and adaptability to every session.
