About Sejong
I’m a former IB student with a final score of 43 points, and I’m currently an undergraduate at the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor. Having recently completed the IB, I understand exactly what students struggle with and what examiners reward. I am an experienced tutor in IB English B HL, offering targeted support for Paper 1, Paper 2, and the Individual Oral (IO), as well as overall language development.
As a former IB student with 43 final points, I understand exactly what the exams reward. My lessons are clear, structured, and tailored to each student’s level—focusing on the skills that directly improve marks: organisation, tone/register, text-type conventions, and accurate, natural-sounding English.
I support students with:
- Paper 1 & Paper 2 exam strategy (planning, timing, high-scoring structure)
- Text types and conventions (formats, register, purpose, audience)
- Writing improvement (vocabulary, grammar accuracy, cohesion, style)
- Reading comprehension skills (analysis, inference, evidence selection)
