About Beth
As an experienced English tutor, I understand that many children find English a challenging subject to engage with. My own journey began when I noticed my children struggling with various concepts in English, which inspired me to develop a range of strategies to support engagement and make learning enjoyable.
I firmly believe that every child is unique, and my teaching philosophy centres around the idea that disengagement often stems from harsh or controlling teaching methods. Rather than imposing rigid structures, my approach is to uplift and encourage each child, creating a positive learning environment where they feel safe to explore and express themselves.
To captivate my students' attention, I tailor my teaching methods to capitalise on their individual interests, making lessons both relevant and enjoyable. I have a passion for inspiring and supporting children, and I truly love working with them to help build their confidence and skills in English.
Creativity plays a significant role in my tutoring. Outside of teaching, I enjoy dancing and engaging in various craft projects, which I often incorporate into my lessons. This creative flair shines through in my approach, allowing me to connect with students in a way that makes learning feel less like a chore and more like an adventure.
