About Eloise

I am a dual law graduate from University College London (UCL) and Bocconi University in Milan, with several years of tutoring experience alongside my academic and professional work.

Throughout school and university, I consistently worked with students in English and other essay-based subjects, helping them improve not only their grades, but also their confidence in writing, analysis, and communication. Having completed two rigorous law degrees, I understand the importance of clear writing, critical thinking, and effective exam technique, and I bring these skills into my teaching.

Alongside tutoring, I currently work within the legal field, where strong written communication and attention to detail are essential every day. This professional experience has further strengthened my ability to explain complex ideas clearly and work patiently and methodically with students.

I aim to create lessons that are supportive, structured, and tailored to each individual student. Whether a student is preparing for exams, struggling with essay structure, or simply looking to build confidence in English, I focus on making lessons approachable and productive.

I am patient, reliable, and genuinely enjoy helping students progress and feel more confident in their abilities.

About the lesson

I am an experienced tutor with several years of teaching alongside my studies and professional work. I hold an LLB from University College London (UCL) and a specialised Master’s degree in International Law from Bocconi University in Milan.

I primarily teach English for GCSE and A-Level students, with a particular focus on essay writing, reading comprehension, analytical skills, exam technique, and building confidence in written work. I also have experience supporting students in essay-based subjects including law, history, and politics.

My teaching style is structured but adaptable to each student’s needs. I focus on helping students understand how to think critically, structure strong arguments, and express themselves clearly and confidently. Lessons are tailored depending on whether a student needs support with coursework, exam preparation, improving grades, or general confidence in English.

A typical lesson is usually 60 minutes, although shorter or longer sessions can be arranged for exam preparation or intensive support.

I have experience tutoring students across a range of ages and abilities, from primary school through to university preparation. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills at their own pace.
