About Rachel
I have been a teacher since 2017, mostly teaching ESL and middle school level. I have taught in school, college, and language centers. Over the years, I have also gained experience in educating students with different abilities. I grew up in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and attended UNITAR International University where I completed Bachelor of English majoring in TESOL.

As a TESOL-certified teacher with a bachelor’s degree and skilled teacher with 5 years of teaching elementary and middle school levels, I optimize students' performances by promoting goal-oriented activities. My goal as a tutor is to instill in my students a thorough comprehension in answering exam questions. In my opinion, one-on-one tutoring offers students a special benefit because it can help them overcome their personal barriers. My approach changes depending on the needs and learning preferences of the student. I begin with topics that the students are familiar with and progressively go to more difficult material as their confidence grows.
