I believe that reading and writing are fundamental gateways to critical thinking, creativity, and engagement with the changing world around us. Reading books and writing stories are some of my earliest and happiest memories, and helping other people connect with the written word is my deepest passion. For my students, I make the learning experience fun, rewarding, and effective in every single lesson.

I employ a fully customized and flexible approach to teaching, based entirely on the educational goals and desires of my students.
In some cases, I will utilize original reading, writing, and comprehension exercises for test prep, while in others I will prepare sample reading excerpts or thought-provoking writing prompts, followed by discussion or more in-depth editing and analysis of the student's work.
A typical lesson plan for a high school English student, for example, might start with a flash writing prompt (3 minutes), followed by analysis and review of that writing (5-10 minutes), then a core lesson on a particular element of writing, and an activity to reinforce that lesson, ending with a review of their work.
This structure may change dependent on each student's skill level and current goals, but each lesson will be custom-designed.
I have been a professional writer and editor for over a decade, and want to ensure that the next generation of students—of any age—understands the power, value, and potential of the written word.
