About Angel

I'm an experienced English teacher with more than 35 years of teaching experience. I'm CELTA-certified and have taught adults, professionals, university students, and immigrants from many different countries and backgrounds.
My teaching career has taken me from Venezuela to China, the United States, and Spain. I spent seven years teaching English at universities in China, have worked with corporate clients and professionals, and have also taught adult immigrants in the United States.
Having worked with learners from so many different cultures, I understand that knowing English and being able to use it confidently are two different things. I especially enjoy helping adults become more comfortable speaking and communicating in real-life situations.
My classes are friendly and relaxed, but they also have structure and a clear purpose. I want students to feel comfortable making mistakes while knowing that we're always working toward measurable progress.

About the lesson

You know some English. Now let's get you speaking it with confidence.
Many adult learners understand much more English than they feel comfortable speaking. You may know the grammar and vocabulary, but real conversations happen quickly—and suddenly it's difficult to find the words.
My lessons are designed to help you bridge that gap.
We'll work on practical English for real-life communication, combining conversation with the grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and listening practice you need. Rather than simply chatting for an hour, we'll identify the areas that are holding you back, work on them clearly and systematically, and then put what you've learned into practice.
Lessons are adapted to your level and goals, whether you need English for everyday life, work, travel, living abroad, or simply want to become a more confident speaker.
Complete beginners are also welcome. We'll build your English step by step and start using what you learn from the beginning.
¿Hablas español? También puedo explicar conceptos difíciles en español cuando sea necesario, especialmente si estás comenzando a aprender inglés.
