About Sharon
I am a multilingual ESL teacher who has been teaching English for more than 5 years to students from diverse cultural backgrounds, both in group and 1-on-1 classroom settings online and offline. I have taught children aged 3-5 years, middle schoolers, high schoolers, and business English to adults and have a business and linguistic background with a master's in Chinese language education. Experienced English teacher with over 3 years' experience. Taught students of diverse ages and cultural backgrounds. Skilled in one-on-one instruction and adept at working with kids, teenagers and adults.
I curate my teaching methods and materials in accordance with the students' linguistic needs and personal interests in an interactive classroom with emphasis on the students' comprehension of learning materials. Making the language learning materials more relatable not only helps my students learn how to communicate in a way that feels natural to them and relates to their inner worlds, but it also makes them enjoy learning English, which is a major struggle for second language learners.
