My tutoring approach is rooted in student-centered learning and critical engagement with text. For example, when working on essay writing, we might analyze model texts together, practice crafting strong thesis statements, and then move into individualized writing feedback. My goal is always to help students think deeply and write with purpose.
My background as a PhD student in Curriculum and Instruction allows me to draw on research-based strategies that promote critical thinking, reflective writing, and transferable literacy skills. I also weave in my passion for world literature to expose students to diverse voices and ideas, making learning both relevant and inspiring.
