About Sonia
Teaching is a profound passion of mine. There's nothing more fulfilling than witnessing the transformative journey of my students! I have had a 5 year career in communications and marketing alongside which I also tutored English. I've been travelling and lived abroad for 5 years during which time I gained a TEFL qualification for teaching English and delivered classes in Colombia and Poland. Having also experienced the challenges of living abroad myself, I can really relate to some of the challenges and obstacles that come with speaking a foreign language. Through teaching, I aim to impart not just language proficiency but also the confidence to navigate a linguistically diverse world, drawing from my own experiences to make the language learning journey more fun. Fun fact about me: I'm also a singer! I love to incorporate music and the arts in my classes too.

With a decade of tutoring experience and a background in teaching English in Colombia, Poland, Portugal, and Italy, my approach is rooted in personalised instruction. I initiate each tutoring relationship with a needs assessment, understanding your goals and proficiency level. The 60-minute lessons are theme-based, revolving around topics aligned with your interests. I prioritise interactive learning through discussions, role-plays, and multimedia resources to keep you interested and motivated!
