About Destiny
For the past 12 years, I’ve worked with students as a tutor, mentor, and educator, helping learners of all ages build confidence in reading, writing, and critical thinking. I’m entering my fourth year as a charter school teacher, where I’ve taught English literacy and supported students with a wide range of learning needs and academic goals. My experience in theater has also shaped the way I teach—I bring creativity, energy, and encouragement into every lesson while maintaining high expectations. I believe every student can grow with the right support, and I strive to create lessons that are engaging, personalized, and empowering.

Curiosity is contagious, and I love helping students discover that learning can be exciting. My background as an NYU Tisch graduate, professional theatre artist, and English teacher has taught me that every student learns differently. I bring creativity, enthusiasm, and structure to every lesson, whether we’re preparing for the SAT, improving literacy skills, or writing stronger essays. I scored a 1530 on the SAT and attended NYU through multiple competitive scholarships, but my greatest joy is watching students gain confidence, ask bigger questions, and realize they’re capable of more than they thought.
