About Yvonne
As an instructor of communications, my career has been quite diverse, versatile and specialized as I have taught English, Humanities, Journalism, Reading and Special Education in the Maryland, District of Columbia and Virginia public school systems. Most recently, I served as Library Media Specialist in the capacities of Teacher, Information Specialist, Instructional Partner, Curricula Leader, Program Administrator and Community Liaison for the District of Columbia Public Schools and Baltimore County Public Schools. I worked in tandem with parents, classroom teachers, reading specialists and special educators to meet the needs of our entire student body. And in all the wonderful incidents, I experienced the individuality of each student’s journey toward enrichment, fulfillment and discovery of self. I look forward to that embrace.
