About Joy
I am a dedicated English educator with years of experience teaching high school literature, writing, and critical thinking. With a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in English Language and Literature, my teaching philosophy centers on creating inclusive, intellectually stimulating spaces where students feel both challenged and supported. I specialize in helping students strengthen their writing, deepen their literary analysis, and build confidence in their academic voice. Beyond the classroom, I’m passionate about mentorship, student advocacy, and empowering young people to see themselves as capable, creative thinkers ready to succeed in any path they choose.
