About Vincent
I am a fully qualified and experienced secondary school teacher with 6 years of international teaching experience in English and History. I have taught students across a range of abilities and age groups, including students following the IB curriculum.
I take pride in creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their confidence. I believe that effective tutoring should be tailored to the individual student, with clear explanations, constructive feedback and practical strategies that help students become more independent learners.
Whether you are preparing for Junior Cycle, Leaving Certificate, IB examinations, or simply looking to improve your English or History skills, I will work with you to identify your goals and develop a clear plan for making progress.
My classroom experience means I understand the challenges students face at secondary level, particularly when it comes to essay writing, exam technique, critical thinking and organizing their ideas. I bring this experience to every lesson and aim to make learning both productive and enjoyable.

I am a qualified and experienced secondary school teacher specialising in English and History, with 6 years of international teaching experience, including experience teaching the IB curriculum. I offer supportive, engaging and personalised lessons designed to help students build confidence, improve their skills and achieve their academic goals.
My approach is centred around understanding each student’s individual needs. I adapt lessons according to their current level, strengths and areas for improvement rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. In English, I can support students with reading comprehension, essay writing, creative writing, grammar, exam technique and literary analysis. In History, I focus on developing knowledge, understanding, essay structure, source analysis and exam technique.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged where appropriate. I aim to make each lesson interactive and focused, combining explanation, discussion, questioning, guided practice and feedback. I also provide clear strategies that students can use independently when studying and preparing for exams.
I can work with students from Junior Cycle through Leaving Certificate level, as well as students studying international curricula such as the IB. I am also happy to work with younger students who need additional support in developing their literacy, reading or writing skills.
Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for exams, improving their grades or simply becoming more confident in English or History, my goal is to create a relaxed and encouraging learning environment where they can make steady progress.
