About Ashleigh

My name is Ashleigh, and I am a qualified English and History teacher with 12 years of tutoring experience and 8 years of experience teaching in a high school environment.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English Studies and a Postgraduate qualification in Education, specializing in English and History. My background as both a classroom teacher and a private tutor allows me to support students in a way that is structured, informed, and aligned with curriculum and assessment expectations.

I am passionate about helping students build confidence in their abilities while developing strong academic skills. I understand that every learner is different, and I take pride in adapting my teaching to suit each student’s needs, pace, and goals. Whether a learner needs ongoing support or focused exam preparation, I aim to create a calm, encouraging environment where progress feels achievable.

I work with students across multiple grades and curricula, including CAPS, IEB, IGCSE, and AS Level, and I am committed to helping learners not only improve their results but also gain a deeper understanding of the subjects they study.

Teaching is something I genuinely care about, and I strive to be a supportive, reliable, and professional presence in every student’s learning journey.

I combine my experience as a qualified high school teacher with over 12 years of tutoring to create lessons that are both academically rigorous and approachable. What sets me apart is my focus on how students learn, not just what they learn. I don’t simply go through content; I teach students how to think, write, analyse, and approach assessments with confidence.
