About Genevieve
I am a student currently in sixthform and have been tutoring privately for 2 years now. I mainly worked with younger children in primary school and year 7 as I Had not done my GCSE'S yet but science doing them I have been tutoring year 9 and 10 students virtually throughout quarantine. I am currently studying a level biology and chemistry so I am qualified enough to tutor it up to GCSE level.

My teaching method will be to go through content that you have not understood in class by breaking it down and going through exam questions for GCSE students. I will teach different revision methods you can use for these specific subjects. I want to spend most of our time on your weaker areas rather than your stronger ones however we will still go over them to ensure you are well equipped for you exams. For younger students however I will use more fun methods like stories and songs to help them learn new information. For all students I will be teaching in line with what you are learning at school unless that's not what you prefer. This way you will not be getting confused with different topics. If you have any specific teaching requirements please let me know and I will adapt the best way I can. Lessons will start off with a recap of the previous lesson with a few starter questions and tasks in order to consolidate you knowledge. I will then go on to teach you what the topic is fir that day and you can also tell me if there is something you did not understand at school and we will go through this . We will then go through some questions and exam technique, look through Mark's schemes etc. At the end of the lesson I will have a summary task and maybe even some homework to make sure you understand everything. Once in a while I will give questions from topics previously studied a while back to make sure you are not forgetting anything this is also known as spaced repetition.
