About Makayla
I am an experienced elementary educator with nearly a decade of experience working with young learners. I currently teach second grade and previously spent several years teaching preschool, giving me a strong understanding of how children develop foundational academic skills. I have experience supporting students with a wide range of learning styles, abilities, and individual needs. I am passionate about helping children feel successful and confident in their learning, especially when a subject has previously felt difficult or frustrating. I bring the same patience, encouragement, and individualized approach to tutoring that I use in my classroom every day.
