I use research-based instructional practices and differentiate lessons based on each student’s strengths, challenges, and learning style. Whether a student needs support with reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, fluency, or overall literacy skills, I create engaging lessons that are both supportive and challenging.
A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previously learned skills, followed by targeted instruction on a specific literacy goal. Students then practice the skill through guided activities, interactive discussion, reading passages, or writing tasks before ending with a quick reflection or progress check. Throughout the lesson, I provide immediate feedback and encouragement to help students grow and stay motivated.
What sets me apart is my classroom experience and ability to connect with students. As a teacher, I understand curriculum expectations, state standards, and the challenges students face in today’s classrooms. I strive to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and celebrating their progress.
