The best thing about learning is that you will make mistakes, and that is PERFECTLY OKAY. Knowing your starting place for a concept allows you to plan out your next steps. Changing your mindset will be the hardest part. Think about it, if you know 70% of algebraic concepts don't think that you're failing, there is only a 30% gap to full understanding! Hi, I'm Rachel!
I'm a certified Elementary Educator (K-6) and an adjunct College Professor for pre-service teachers. My philosophy for learning is that students need to take autonomy in their learning. This can be done through a multisensory approach to education, which looks different to everyone.
In a typical lesson, we evaluate what we already know about a topic to make connections to what we want to know and then to what we've learned.
