About
I am a licensed ELA teacher with experience teaching middle and high school students in reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and literary analysis. I currently teach 8th grade English Language Arts and have also taught 9th and 10th grade ELA. I hold a master’s degree in Teacher Leadership and am currently completing graduate-level studies in counseling, which has strengthened my ability to understand and support students with different learning needs, confidence levels, and academic challenges.
As a classroom teacher, I work with students across a wide range of ability levels, including students who need intervention as well as students who are ready for more advanced work. I believe strong tutoring is about more than completing an assignment—it is about helping students understand the skills well enough to use them independently. I am patient, encouraging, and committed to creating a comfortable environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and grow as learners.

My lessons are personalized to meet each student where they are and build from there. I provide support in reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, literary analysis, and test preparation for middle and high school students. I believe students learn best when concepts are broken down into clear, manageable steps and they understand not just the answer, but how to get there. Lessons may include guided practice, targeted skill work, homework support, essay feedback, and test-taking strategies based on the student’s individual needs. My goal is to help students strengthen their skills, improve their grades, and become more confident and independent readers and writers.
