About Amanda
Hi, I’m Amanda—a credentialed elementary educator with a BA in Liberal Studies and over six years of hands-on experience teaching and tutoring students in grades K–5. I’ve taught in both public and private school settings, and I specialize in supporting students in English Language Arts and foundational math skills, especially those who need extra encouragement or are performing below grade level. My approach as a tutor is rooted in encouragement, structure, and meeting students exactly where they are. I strive to build confidence through positive reinforcement, clear expectations, and consistent feedback. My lessons are interactive and age-appropriate, often integrating hands-on activities or relatable visuals to make learning stick.
