About Nicole

Hello and welcome! I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with you. My name is Teacher Nicky, and I am an experienced educator with over 13 years of teaching in diverse classrooms. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, which has equipped me with a deep understanding of how students learn and the best strategies for supporting them. My passion for teaching is matched only by my commitment to helping each student reach their full potential.

Throughout my career, I have specialized in working with students aged 5 to 12, particularly in English language skills and math, including tailored remediation for those who may need extra support; and adult students focusing on IELTs test prep, business english and improved daily english. I understand that every student learns differently, and I’m dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment where all students feel confident and capable of achieving success.

In our lessons, you can expect a mix of structured learning, real-world examples, and hands-on activities designed to engage and challenge you at your level. My goal is to make learning enjoyable, rewarding, and accessible for every student. I believe in your ability to grow, and I am here to support you every step of the way.

About the lesson

With a background in Psychology, I incorporate evidence-based practices and remediation techniques to ensure all students succeed, focusing on fostering a growth mindset. My lessons are designed to be engaging, interactive, and supportive, helping students feel confident and empowered. I teach in English, enabling me to connect with a diverse range of students. A typical lesson includes a review of key concepts, followed by interactive activities that reinforce learning. I use real-world examples, step-by-step problem-solving for math, and a mix of conversation and grammar for language learners. I focus on building confidence and celebrating progress. My lessons are aimed at students aged 5-12 years and adults who need support in English or math, including those requiring remediation or enrichment. I adapt my approach to students with varying abilities, providing personalized support to ensure success.
