I highly recommend Sudhir Sekharan as an exceptional educator. As a Campus Curriculum Instructional Specialist, I have had the pleasure of interacting with Mr. Sekharan on many occasions over four years, and I am always impressed by his teaching and classroom management skills. Mr. Sekharan’s ability as a master teacher has been recognized at the middle school level, demonstrated by the fact that he was named Spotlight Teacher at Cypress-Fairbanks ISD.
Sudhir is a dynamic, well-respected, and confident STEM teacher. I have observed him, and his hands-on, personal, differentiated approach is a perfect fit for students from diverse backgrounds. Not only does he actively monitor his students’ progress and quality of work, but he also encourages their creativity and building positive relationships.
While his teaching ability seems to come naturally, I also credit his hard work and diligence. Mr. Sekharan frequently volunteers for campus leadership positions, such as STEAM Club sponsor. His students competed in the NFPA Fluid Engineering Challenge. The teams won several awards: Teamwork Champion, Design Champion, and Challenge Champion. Mr. Sekharan supports, guides, and shapes his student’s strengths by maintaining a productive climate. He is a team player volunteering to support our Destination Imagination team by attending the competition and assisting our team coach. Sudhir sponsored two students who applied and won a coveted spot on an Argonaut expedition, this is a program through JASON that sends students on an incredible adventure “doing” research with actual scientists in the Bahamas and in the Pyrenees Mountains.
Mr. Sekharan continuously improves his’ instructional practices and classroom management strategies by attending both district and state wide professional development opportunities. Furthermore, as a member of our CPOC committee he is skilled at both written and verbal communication with students, parents, staff members, and administrators.
Sudhir has the potential to touch the lives of many children, guardians, and teachers. I expect him to excel in any role in which he is placed.
