My teaching methodology begins by building a solid relationship between the teacher, student, and parents to assess the student's needs and design an academic plan to address those needs. By facilitating an open student learning environment using problem based learning, accompanied with the accelerated learning model strategies, I am able to measure a student's overall comprehension of material through both formal and informal forms of assessment, student portfolios, and participation. In the student-centered environment, teaching and assessment are connected because student learning is continuously measured during teacher instruction.
