About Juliana
I am a dedicated engineer with a strong academic background in science and engineering and a genuine passion for helping others learn. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated commitment, professionalism, and a desire to share knowledge in ways that empower others to succeed.
My love for teaching extends beyond the classroom. I have volunteered my time to provide private tutoring in Mathematics and Physics, helping students build confidence and achieve academic success. Seeing students grow in their understanding and develop confidence in their abilities has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
As an engineer, I have developed strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Whether collaborating with colleagues on engineering projects or explaining technical concepts to students, I strive to make complex ideas clear, practical, and engaging.
I want to teach because I believe education has the power to transform lives. I am passionate about inspiring students to think critically, develop confidence in their abilities, and reach their full potential. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the West Indies and have pursued postgraduate studies in Architectural Engineering at Heriot-Watt University.
My academic background combines advanced mathematics, physics, engineering principles, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, energy systems, and problem-solving, enabling me to explain difficult concepts in simple and practical ways.
In addition to my engineering career, I have been tutoring students since 2007, helping learners achieve academic success through structured instruction, personalised support, and effective examination preparation.
