About Vanshika
I am professionally an Editor, and have dabbled into various forms of application of the English language with my core skill set of Science. This included being a senior sub-editor and science writer for the news agency - The Wire Science. I also serve as an academic editor at CACTUS Communications for their Neuroscience and Neurology Division. With my background in cognitive neuroscience, I will apply real world theories and my personal experiences in facilitating the mindset required to make impeccable English an integral part of your communication skills.

My approach will be individually tailored to my student's positions and needs, and will involve building a rapport with the student first, understanding his/her current position and judging the scope of improvement required in their language aptitude. A typical class for English aptitude will involve engaging with real world scenarios and information like decoding tough comprehension texts, conversations about news (written and spoken form) sourced from portals such as The Guardian, New York Times, The Hindu etc, and a 10 min session at the end of each class to write comprehensively and collate the learnings of each class- such as using new words and figures of speech learnt in the class to write short forms about current affairs. Such exercises will help in consolidation and better recall of the skills gained in the class.
