I like to have a structured approach focusing on step by step literacy building and lots of revision and practice. Varying the way lessons are taught using games, some concrete materials and meaningful and purposeful links to each student. Many learning opportunities are unexpected and not planned for. I believe these authentic learning experiences should be embraced and no programme should be too ridged to not capitalise on these moments.
