About Emma

I have 10 years of teaching experience and hold a FIDE Certified Coaching Qualification. Throughout my coaching career, I have worked with beginners, scholastic competitors, club players, and tournament participants who wanted to strengthen both their technical ability and strategic understanding. I enjoy helping students discover that chess is not only a game but also an excellent way to develop concentration, patience, and logical thinking.

One student initially relied almost entirely on tactical attacks without understanding positional play, often losing games despite strong combinations. Together we focused on strategic planning, endgame fundamentals, and careful game analysis through regular practice sessions. Over several months, the student developed a more balanced playing style, achieved consistent tournament success, and significantly improved their competitive rating.

I believe chess is best learned through thoughtful analysis, regular practice, and the confidence to learn from every game. My coaching environment encourages curiosity, disciplined thinking, and steady improvement while creating opportunities for players to challenge themselves at every stage of development. Endgame lessons focus on essential king and pawn endings, rook endgames, opposition, promotion techniques, and practical conversion methods that frequently determine tournament results.

Students regularly solve tactical puzzles that improve pattern recognition, visualization, and calculation accuracy under varying levels of difficulty. Every completed game is analyzed to identify strengths, recurring mistakes, and opportunities for improvement while encouraging independent thinking instead of memorizing moves.
