About Imane

I am a dedicated general chemistry tutor with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of California, Irvine, and a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of California, San Diego. During my time at UCSD, I worked as a graduate teaching assistant, where I led college-level general chemistry lab courses independently, instructing students in experimental techniques, guiding them through complex scientific concepts, and evaluating their progress through grading and feedback. With over a decade of tutoring experience, I have helped students master chemistry and biology by breaking down complex topics into clear, step-by-step explanations. My approach is highly personalized—I adapt each lesson to fit my students’ learning styles and pace, ensuring that concepts are not just memorized but truly understood and appreciated. I primarily work with high school students, with a strong focus on AP Chemistry and Biology, guiding them through challenging coursework while preparing them for exams with confidence.

About the lesson

In my one-on-one sessions, I prioritize building a strong conceptual foundation while also providing practical problem-solving strategies to be able to confidently tackle HW and exam problems. I know that chemistry can feel overwhelming, so I strive to make learning engaging, approachable, and effective. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to develop their confidence and appreciation for science.
