About Barakat
I’m Ayodeji Barakat Olamide, a science graduate with an HND in Science Laboratory Technology (Biochemistry option). My interest in chemistry grew through hands-on lab work and hard study, not just textbooks. I teach because I know what it’s like to sit with a concept that doesn’t click until someone breaks it down properly — I want to be that person for my students. I bring patience, a practical grounding in science, and a genuine interest in seeing students actually understand chemistry, not just memorize it for exams.

I hold an HND in Science Laboratory Technology (Biochemistry option), which gives me a strong practical grounding in chemistry beyond just theory. I break down difficult topics — chemical bonding, stoichiometry, organic chemistry — into simple, relatable steps, using real examples so concepts stick, not just formulas memorized for exams. My approach is patient and student-led: I first find out where a student is struggling before building a plan around it. I focus heavily on past questions and exam techniques for WAEC, NECO and JAMB, since understanding chemistry and passing the exam are two different skills. I make lessons interactive, not one-way lectures.
