About Lydia
My name is Lydia and I have been teaching science in some capacity for almost ten years. This means I know the challenges that come with studying the subject, whether Year 7 or Year 13. My approach as a tutor is to make the subject enjoyable, interesting, and, of course, understandable! We will review the topics you are struggling with and you will feel confident to attack those tricky questions before long.

My aim is to work with students so they have the confidence to apply their knowledge to exam questions. My lessons typically involve reviewing a topic together, then guiding the student to answer various questions in an exam format. Lessons last 50 minutes. I have a PGCE in science teaching and an MSci in Chemistry from the University of Bristol. I also have 7 years' experience teaching secondary science and three years' experience as Head of Science. I tutor KS3 & KS4 Science and KS5 Chemistry.
