About Arman Islam
Hey! I’m someone who’s been where you are—feeling stuck or overwhelmed by chemistry, biochemistry, organic chemistry, or math. I have a Bachelor of Honors in Chemistry from the University of Alberta and over six years helping students like you get through those tough topics without the stress. I’m all about breaking things down in a way that actually makes sense, using visuals, real-life examples, and step-by-step explanations. No judgment, no rushing—just a chill, supportive space where you can ask anything and learn at your own pace. When I’m not tutoring, you’ll probably find me wandering outside on a nature walk or exploring new cafes trying iced americano—those moments keep me curious and energized. I’m here because I genuinely love science and because I believe anyone can get better at it with the right help. So, whether you’re cramming for exams, struggling with homework, or just want to finally “get it,” I’ve got your back. Let’s make learning something you actually look forward to!

My teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that every student has the potential to excel in chemistry, biochemistry, organic chemistry, and math when guided with patience, clarity, and genuine care. Holding a Bachelor of Honors in Chemistry from the University of Alberta and backed by over six years of tutoring experience, I tailor my methodology to each individual’s unique learning style—whether that means incorporating detailed visual aids, real-world examples, or methodical, hands-on problem-solving—to transform complex, intimidating topics into clear and manageable concepts. A typical lesson begins with a thoughtful review of previous material and any questions you may have, ensuring we build on a solid foundation. From there, I introduce new concepts step-by-step, guiding you through carefully chosen examples and encouraging active participation. I always ensure ample time for practice, reflection, and questions, because true learning happens when understanding is deep and confident, not rushed or superficial. What sets me apart as a tutor is not just my academic qualifications and extensive experience, but my unwavering commitment to fostering a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable, motivated, and empowered to take ownership of their education. I work with high school and university students across all levels who are serious about mastering their coursework, preparing for exams, or pursuing STEM degrees. If you want a tutor who doesn’t just teach but truly invests in your growth and success, I am dedicated to helping you achieve your fullest potential—making learning not only effective but also inspiring.
