About Abby
I have recently completed my A-levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths and am currently studying Biological Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge. I have been tutoring children and young people both professionally and on a casual basis for the past two years and am keen to use my knowledge and experience to help those whose education has been disrupted by recent events. I'm a friendly, organised and highly motivated tutor studying Biological Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge. Although I am particularly passionate about biology, I am very happy to help students with any of the following subjects: GCSE Maths, Level 2 Further Maths, GCSE Combined Science, AS-level Maths, A-level Biology and A-level Chemistry. Before a lesson starts, I like to have an idea of what my student is looking to work on so that I can prepare some resources in advance. From there, I work with the student to figure out where their strengths and weaknesses lie. I then use a variety of resources (such as the subject specification, past paper questions and my own knowledge) to consolidate their understanding of a topic. I use my iPad as a 'whiteboard' on which I can make notes and draw diagrams to explain concepts. At the end of every lesson, I will review what I've covered with my student to ensure that they feel secure in their new knowledge.
