About Kirthna
I am a Bachelor of Business (International Business) (Hons) graduate, currently working full-time as a Marketing Executive in the corporate sector while continuing my passion for education as a part-time tutor.
I have several years of teaching and tutoring experience across kindergarten, primary and secondary levels, working with students from approximately 4 to 17 years old. Over the years, I have taught English, Cambridge English, Mathematics, Science, Biology, Sejarah and other school subjects, while also helping students prepare for school examinations, Cambridge examinations and major national examinations.
English and Cambridge English are areas that I particularly enjoy teaching. My lessons focus on building strong foundations in grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, speaking and overall communication skills. I believe students learn best when they understand what they are learning rather than simply memorizing information, so I incorporate clear explanations, relatable examples, storytelling, guided exercises and interactive learning into my lessons.
My experience as a Marketing Executive also gives me daily exposure to professional communication, content development, writing and presenting ideas clearly. I bring this real-world perspective into my lessons, particularly when helping older students develop stronger writing and communication skills.
Having worked with students of different ages, personalities and learning abilities, I understand that every learner progresses differently. I am patient, adaptable and committed to creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes and improving at their own pace.
In addition to tutoring, I can assist fresh graduates and working professionals with CV and resume writing, including content restructuring, professional wording, grammar improvement and presenting their skills, experience and achievements more effectively.
For me, tutoring is not simply about helping a student pass an examination. It is about helping them develop the confidence, understanding and communication skills they can continue using beyond the classroom.

I believe English should be taught in a way that is practical, engaging and easy to understand. My lessons are structured according to each student’s level, learning pace and areas that need improvement.
I focus on Cambridge English and general English, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, speaking and exam preparation. I use simple explanations, examples, storytelling, practice exercises and interactive activities to help students understand concepts instead of only memorizing them.
A typical lesson is around 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the student’s age, level and learning needs. Lessons can also be adapted to focus on specific areas such as writing, comprehension, speaking confidence or examination preparation.
