About OLUWASEGUN

I have BSc and MSc degrees in Microbiology as well as a PGDE certificate. I also have a certificate from Cambridge International Education (CIE). I have over fourteen years of teaching experience in Biology. Programmes that I have taught include WAEC, IGCSE,OCR,AQA, CIE AS and A levels as well as NCUK-IFY foundation biology.

About the lesson

My teaching methodologies essentially revolve round making my students independent thinkers. To this end I employ discussions, animations, videos and past question review. A typical day in the classroom usually involves a run through of previous knowledge, an introductory assessment followed by a introduction of how the new topic relates to a related topic. The uniqueness of my lessons however lies in the stimulation of students to link related concepts as I proceed with the lesson. The lesson usually is rounded up with another assessment that takes into account both new and old information.
