About Madison
I take a highly personalised, warm and patient approach to tutoring, as I believe effective learning is different for every student.
In our first session, we will focus on understanding your current level, goals, and individual learning style. This allows me to tailor all future lessons to suit how you learn best — whether that’s through visual explanations, worked examples, active recall, or step-by-step problem solving.
My lessons are typically one hour long and are designed to build both deep understanding and strong exam performance. We begin by focusing on the “why” behind each topic — ensuring you fully understand the underlying principles, rather than just memorising methods. Once this foundation is strong, we then apply this knowledge to exam-style questions and past papers, helping you structure answers clearly and accurately in line with what examiners are looking for.
I teach chemistry up to A Level, and biochemistry up to undergraduate level, and I adapt my teaching style depending on the student — whether that’s building confidence with core concepts or refining more advanced understanding for exams and coursework.
Above all, I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at your own pace. My goal is not only to help you achieve excellent grades, but also to make chemistry and biochemistry feel clear, logical, and even enjoyable.

Hi, I’m Madison — a UK-based tutor with a first-class Master’s degree (MSc) in Biochemistry and Genetics from a Russell Group university.
I have a strong academic foundation in both chemistry and biochemistry, developed through advanced study and research, and I combine this with real-world industry experience in digital health and biotechnology. As the founder of a health-tech company, I work closely with scientific data, research, and applied biochemistry, which allows me to bring practical and relevant context into my teaching.
I have experience supporting students from Year 7 through to undergraduate level, and I particularly enjoy helping students gain confidence in chemistry — a subject that can often feel challenging without the right approach.
Students and parents often describe me as patient, approachable, and clear in my explanations. I understand that chemistry can sometimes feel abstract or calculation-heavy, so I focus on breaking concepts down into simple, logical steps and building understanding from the ground up.
I am passionate about helping students achieve excellent results, while also developing a deeper understanding of chemistry and biochemistry that they can carry forward beyond exams.
