About Talya
I have been working as a tutor, both volunteer and paid, for the past 6 years. I have tutored nearly every non scientific subject, and love teaching. I have since gotten my TEFL certification, and am now halfway through my undergraduate degree in which I double major -Teaching English as a Second Language and History. I love working with History and English since they're my favorite subjects, but any subject can be fun if approached the right way!

I take the time to figure out each student's struggles, learning styles, and strengths to tailor education to each individual. Education is not a one size fits all endeavor. I try to balance worksheets with more creative exercises to practice concepts in as many ways as possible after establishing base knowledge in a lesson. We'll focus on the roots of problems rather than the problems themselves so that students can figure out patterns on their own.
