About Holly

I am passionate about the Classical World and graduated from the University of Bristol with a 2:1 in Ancient History with Classics. I have been in schools for five years now. I was a teaching assistant in a prestigious junior school in Central London for two years, helping Year 6 with the 11+ in all subjects and teaching Latin and Greek to KS3. I am now in my third year of teaching Latin and Classical Civilisation from Year 7 to GCSE in a school in London. As a teacher, I have a full DBS check and have experience teaching a wide variety of students.

About the lesson

My approach is tailored to each student's individual needs, ensuring they develop a deep understanding of both the Latin language and its cultural context. Whether preparing for Common Entrance, GCSE, or A-Level, I focus on building confidence through structured lessons, exam-style questions, and a strong foundation in grammar, translation, and literary analysis. I believe that mastering the logic behind Latin is key to long-term success. My lessons emphasise exam techniques, translation strategies, and critical thinking skills, equipping students with the tools they need to excel. Together, we will work through grammar exercises, past papers, and literary texts to strengthen both knowledge and application.
