About Ionut

I am a passionate and curious person with a strong interest in languages, cultures and the arts. Alongside teaching English, I have developed my own photography practice, which has encouraged me to explore different perspectives, people and environments. I am particularly interested in visual arts, literature and philosophy, and I enjoy bringing these interests into my teaching whenever appropriate.

I believe that language is closely connected to culture and personal expression. I therefore like creating lessons that go beyond textbooks, using interesting topics, images, texts and real-life conversations to encourage students to think critically and express themselves confidently in English.

Having lived and worked in different countries, I have developed a genuine appreciation for cultural diversity and enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds. I aim to create a relaxed, open and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and developing their own voice in English.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching is student-centred, practical and tailored to each learner’s level, goals and individual needs. I have over five years of experience teaching English in the UK, Spain and Romania, working with children, teenagers and adults from beginner to advanced levels.

I use a communicative approach, combining speaking practice, grammar and vocabulary development, role-plays, discussions, real-life situations and exam-style exercises. I aim to make lessons engaging and interactive while giving clear explanations and constructive feedback. For students preparing for Cambridge exams, I also provide structured exam preparation, mock exams and personalised strategies to improve their performance.

Lessons typically last **60 minutes**, although I can adapt this depending on the student’s age and requirements.

My experience includes **General English, Cambridge exam preparation, one-to-one tuition and corporate English courses**. I have taught learners from **A1 to C1**, as well as students preparing for Cambridge, Trinity and Aptis examinations.

My lessons are suitable for **children, teenagers and adults** who want to improve their English, build confidence, develop their communication skills or prepare for an exam.
