About Taskeen
I have an undergraduate degree in English. I have been working in education for 4 years and I have substantial experience teaching children, from the ages of 3 to 11 years old, teaching all subjects. I have taught children with a variety of needs, including children with Autism and ADHD.

My teaching methodology includes teaching concepts using a variety of approaches in order to cater for different needs. I believe in the importance of teaching a concept multiple times and in different ways so that a child really learns something and knows how to apply it, rather than memorise it. I also believe in the importance of patience and perseverance when teaching and learning.
My lessons follow a cycle of 'Assess, Plan, Do and Review'
I structure lessons through introducing a lesson objective, which will always link to the National Curriculum. I then aim to Assess a child's knowledge of the concept I will be teaching. I then make changes to the lesson plan according to the child's needs, introducing support and challenge when it is needed. I then give the child the opportunity to go through answers and explain the concept that is taught in their own words. This provides the chance to address any common misconceptions. The following lesson will then address the previous person's topic as a starter to once again Assess the child's knowledge.
