About Marti
I have degrees in both physics and math and have been formally tutoring since 2007, in both group and individual settings. (Informally, I've been helping friends throughout school.) I normally work with high school and college, both traditional and non-traditional students.

I tailor my tutoring to my students. I work with them to figure out where they're having trouble and find a way to communicate with them in an understandable way. In this matter, I like to quote a former professor of mine: "Part of teaching is saying the same thing a thousand different ways." Everyone learns differently, and as a teacher, I need to find a way that makes sense to each student. I work on getting to know my students so I can relate the subjects being taught to something the student finds interesting.
