About Alisha

Hi, I am Alisha and I'm a first-year Data Science student. I am a motivated, hardworking, and patient tutor with a passion for helping others reach their academic goals. I strive to create a calm and supportive learning environment where students can develop their skills and build confidence. Outside tutoring and uni, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, getting outdoors and to the beach, playing music, and baking.

About the lesson

I tutor one-on-one lessons, helping students genuinely understand the maths concepts taught in school. I tailor each lesson to the student's level and learning style, working through class content, worksheets, past papers and games to build a real understanding.

I tutor Maths (including Statistics and Calculus) for primary and secondary school students, in person at a student's home or a public library, with lessons typically lasting an hour.

I have three years of experience tutoring a range of ages and levels, and last year was Head of Peer Tutoring, where I organised and ran a free tutoring programme for students in Years 7-13. I completed NCEA Levels 1, 2, and 3 with Excellence endorsements, received multiple academic awards, and have an 8.0 GPA.
