About Pamela
I am an experienced teacher of 14 years. I am certified in several disciplines. Having a focus on literacy throughout all the content empowers my students to be life long learners. I also have a background in social emotional learning (I am on this team at my school). My undergraduate degree is in art and design. I bring creativity to my lessons and challenge my students to think out and in the box. I believe every child has strengths they bring to their learning. I utilize growth mindset practices to help them realize they can be successful in their academics.

My teaching approach is to use tools and strategies so students can access content and be life long learners. I believe in using growth mindset practices to help students build stamina and persevere in learning. My approach as a tutor is to challenge students to think of multiple possibilities while critiquing their ideas - looking at what is the essence of the task and do their ideas match or best answer the question.
